What does change take?

Our thoughts are underscored by our beliefs and our beliefs are often what drive the decisions that we make in regards to how we change our teaching practice. How our beliefs change over time depends upon our ability to step back and look at the assumptions that we hold about what we feel is most important.

How has your teaching practice changed over the past year? How  different are you  now than you were a year ago at this time? How is your program different than it was a year ago?

What are you committed to changing next school year based upon what you have learned about yourself and your teaching throughout this past school year? What do you need to be aware of within yourself in order to succesfully implement future change in your teaching practice?

The need for change does not imply that we are not doing our jobs well. Better accepting the need for change means that we are willing to learn, grow, and continually develop ourselves and  challenge the beliefs and assumptions that we hold.   Easier said than done, but  important to put into action.

Ooo, always there is a change in your life! Therefore the teaching might change according to the year, technology, school requests, parents requests etc...
Before I was thinking at finishing the lessons in time with all the objectives planned before. Now, it's not all the time about objectives, it's about individual student planning, make it fun, make them understand why they need to... learn, help others, do it different than his friend etc.
For the next year I would like to do more outside of school learning, to see actually the reallity.
Thank you Andy for the PE course, I've added more ideas to my teaching, according to the kids, school requests, resources etc. All the best!

I whole heartedly agree. I started my masters program- Integrating technology Into the Classroom and boy, am I ever changing! I refused to Tweet and now I am forced to...which is probably not a bad thing for my students if I can learn and grow from it.
My teaching has drastically changed in 17 years, much of it, like Adriana470, due to technology, state mandates and testing, and new curriculum. Some of it is quite exciting, but frustrating at the same time.

Is an independent online one-armed bandit directory site using a Free Ports and Slots for Fun service free of charge. An advantage when you play backgammon online is that the game keeps track of player factor ratings immediately.
