Getting Kids Working Together![]() Cooperative challenges are such a great way to get students working together to achieve a common goal. My grade two and grade four classes are currently finishing up an adventure challenge unit in PE, so I decided to share a handful of activities that we have done during the past several weeks. As a summative task I am going to get my students, in groups, to create a final adventure challenge task to teach to the rest of the class. They will be allowed to use ideas from any of the activities that we have done during the unit, but their version must differ from the actual game that was played before. This will challenge them to think about extension activities rather than merely copying an activity that was already played. Here are just a few examples of some of the cooperative challenge type activities that we have done in this unit. Feel free to use any of the ideas. If you modify them, let me know the changes that you made, so I can try out your ideas next time around. Thanks! Swiss Ball Challenge #1 Swiss Ball Challenge #2Pass the Golden Ring Challenge |
